Have you always wanted to learn watercolor—or take your painting skills to the next level? This summer, we’re delighted to welcome one of Tennessee’s most accomplished watercolor artists and educators to The Woman’s Exchange of Memphis.

Join Melody Weintraub, recently elected President of the Tennessee Watercolor Society, for a three-session watercolor workshop designed to inspire creativity, build confidence, and help artists of all experience levels develop their skills.

Melody’s impressive career spans more than four decades of watercolor painting and over 25 years of art instruction at every level—from elementary classrooms to graduate university programs. She has taught through the University of Memphis Continuing Education Program, served as a classroom art educator, and currently works as a university supervisor for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Her honors include:

Tennessee Art Educator of the Year (2025)

NAEA Southeastern Region Art Educator of the Year

Tennessee Art Academy Joe W. Giles Lifetime Achievement Award

In addition to leading the Tennessee Watercolor Society, Melody has exhibited in juried and solo exhibitions throughout the region, including recent shows at WKNO’s Gallery 1091 and Memphis Botanic Garden.
